The Parish Church of Branksome, St. Aldhelm



Welcome to our worship today. We welcome children in church at all times. There is a safe children’s area at the side of the church which enables children to play/sit quietly with their parents or carers and join the service. ‘Busy Bags’ for young children are available. During term-time, Sunday School takes place in the Parish Centre. All children are welcome. Toilets and Baby Changing facilities are located in the Parish Centre.

TODAY

Following our Parish Eucharist, we shall be interring Ted Chapman’s ashes in our Garden of Remembrance. The deadline for the combined August/September magazine is today, please see Sam a.s.a.p.

ROUTES TO ROOTS

This is a Poole based charity who are in need of the following items to support homeless and vulnerable adults in Poole. Jeans, T-Shirts, Socks, Pants (male & female), Shoes (sizes 9 & 10), Roll on deodorant, Sunscreen (no alcohol), Toothpaste & Toothbrushes. A yellow collection box is at the back of church. Thank you for your help.

A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who helped at last weeks Summer Fayre. We raised just under £800, so well done.






HOLY COMMUNION WITH PRAYERS FOR HEALING

On Tuesday 12th July there will be a service of Holy Communion with Prayers for Healing at 12 noon. All welcome.

ST. ALDHELM’S ORCHESTRA—SUMMER CONCERT
The Orchestra will be performing in church on Monday 18th July at 7.30pm. A selection of Mussorgsky, Copland and Beethoven. Retiring collection.

MISSING CHAIR
During the camp pack away a navy blue folding camp chair with a metal frame went missing belonging to Clair Pay, who needs it back for Guide camp. Please can you re-check your things. Thank you.

EVIE TURNER CONCERT

“An evening of cabaret” with Evie Turner in memory of Barbara ‘Grandma Jesse’ will take place on Saturday 6th August at 7.30pm in church.
£5 per adult, children free. Tickets available from Doug Jesse or Parish Office. Proceeds towards church and Mothers’ Union.
