During Lent we are following some of Simone Weil’s reflections on the Lord’s Prayer, meeting here and at St. Joseph’s. This evenings meeting will be at St. Joseph’s beginning at 6.30pm and ending at around 7.45pm. Do join us.

ST. ALDHELM’S ORCHESTRA

The orchestra will play pieces from Weber, Schubert and Borodin on Monday 4th April—7.30pm in church, all welcome—retiring collection.


TRADITIONAL MID LENT TEA + FUN QUIZ

ROYAL WEDDING

To celebrate the Royal Wedding on Friday 29th April from 1pm, we shall be getting together for a ‘street party’ in the Vicarage Garden. Bring and share lunch. TODAY
During our 10am service next Sunday, 27th March we shall mark the 70th Anniversary of the bombing of the Bourne Valley Gasworks and remember those who lost their lives during that tragic time.

Zenith Theatre Company who meet every week in our parish centre are celebrating their 20th year. On Friday 25th and Saturday 26th March they will perform “Let’s Celebrate!” Tickets are available from (01202) 723588, adults £6, concessions £5. Performances—Friday at 7.45pm and Saturday at 2.30pm and 7.45pm.

WELCOME to all the families and friends who have come to support the children who are being baptised this morning.


SPRING FAYRE—1 week to go - Our Parish Spring Fayre will be held on Saturday 19th March in the Parish Centre. We would be grateful for any donations for the stalls including; bric-a-brac, books, toys, cakes on the day, bottles for the bottle stall, raffle prizes. (so far we have had bric-a-brac donations but not a lot else!). Please bring donations to the parish office, thank you.

REV. SARAH BRYANT Sarah will be leaving us shortly, her final Sunday with us will be March 20th; so following the 10.00am Parish Eucharist there will be a bring and share lunch in the parish centre to which you are all welcome. Please see Barbara Marsh if you are able to come to the leaving lunch on Sunday 20th March, can you bring some food for the bring and share lunch. Salads, quiches, crisps, etc and of course the outstanding puddings St. Aldhelm’s is getting famous for!!

MESSAGE FROM BROWNIES The Brownies would like to thank everyone who supported their recent cake stall which raised £112.55 for the Marie Curie Cancer Charity—’Mini Pots of Care’ - challenge (growing daffodils), exceeding their target of £100.

FRIENDS Subs are now due for the Friends of St. Aldhelm’s, please pass on to Elaine Howarth, thank you.
TODDLERS Toddlers are doing a ‘Sponsored Funny Bounce’ for Comic Relief on Thursday 17th March and any donations for raffle/cake stall or help on the day would be greatly appreciated, usual time of 2pm-4pm.

MESSAGE FROM BROWNIES
Today— the Brownies will be holding a cake sale to raise funds for the Marie Curie Cancer Care charity. They hope to raise with other events about £1,000. Please support.

REV. SARAH BRYANT
Sarah will be leaving us in March and her final Sunday with us will be March 20th. After the 10.00am Parish Eucharist there will be a bring and share lunch in the parish centre to which all are welcome. Please see Sam Waldron if you are able to come to the leaving lunch on Sunday 20th March, we would love to hear what food you would like to bring for the bring and share lunch. Salads, quiches, crisps, etc and of course the outstanding puddings St. Aldhelm’s is getting famous for!! Please could we have some volunteers to help out during the meal.
