PARISH NEWS
This Tuesday
At 12 noon this Tuesday there will be a service of Holy Communion with Prayers for Healing.
Church Flowers
We would be grateful for any contributions, great or small, for the church flowers. This would be much appreciated as Remembrance Sunday is not far off and our funds need a boost. Many thanks, please see Dee Anderson or Faye Pay.
Pet Blessing Service
Next Sunday at 4pm we shall hold our Pet Blessing Service, where we thank God for our animals. Please bring your pet along to join you at this service.
Church Heating
Our heating cost will rise from 1.3 pence per kilowatt hour to 2.6 pence, increasing our bill by about £3,500. Therefore we need an economy drive. Please wear layers of clothing as we gather here to worship.
Next Saturday—17th Oct
Please come along next Saturday at 9.30am when we will join together to sweep up leaves and have a general tidy up of the grounds of church.
Parish Magazine—Nov
If you have a contribution for the November issue of our Parish Magazine please see Sam Waldron on or by next Sunday. Thank you.
Mothers’ Union Meeting
The M.U. will be meeting in the lounge on Wednesday 21st October and will be joined by Ann Ballett who will be making Christmas Cards and Decorations. Open to everyone to go along.

DID YOU KNOW YOU CAN SUPPORT YOUR CHURCH, EVEN WHEN YOU’RE NOT HERE?
Our expenditure amounts to approximately £1,400 per week.
This includes £911.86 per week which goes to the Diocese for our ‘Share’
Last weeks donations were as follows:
Planned Giving £662.50 (including standing orders)
Collections £297.69
Our income tax claim produces the equivalent of an additional £170 approx. per week. The shortfall is made up from fund raising.
If you pay Income Tax, in each chair can be found a yellow giving envelope. Loose collection can be placed in these envelopes, completing the details requested (this will enable us to reclaim 28p in the £ from the Inland Revenue). If you are a non-tax payer, please put your loose collection straight into the collecting bag when this is passed round during the service.
Through our Planned Giving Scheme, church members commit a regular amount of money in order that we may be able to rely on
a predictable income to meet our needs and responsibilities. Whilst we are grateful to those who contribute through the loose collections/Gift Aid envelopes, we need new members to join the Planned Giving scheme.
For further information please contact our Hon. Treasurer, Mr John Sprackling on (01202) 751553 or by e-mail via
sprackling@branksomepark.freeserve.co.uk who will be please to provide you with a box of
