Parish News - Sunday 04th October 2009

Welcome to our worship today.

We welcome children in church at all times. There is a safe children’s area at the side of church which enables parents/carers to sit with their children and also be part of the body of the congregation. Toilets and baby changing facilities can be found in the main
Parish Centre.
Hearing aids can be turned to the T setting for amplification.
Please stay for ‘Fair Trade’ tea & coffee after the 10a.m service.

PARISH NEWS - “HARVEST THANKSGIVING”

Thanksgiving Service - Thank you for your donations which will be collected at this mornings service; these will be given to housebound people in are community and to Poole Food Bank – helping families in need in Poole.
Thanks to everyone for your help with yesterdays Harvest Supper and Barn Dance.

Traidcraft Stall - At the end of this mornings service there will be a traidcraft stall at the back of church.

School Admissions for September 2009 - Just a reminder that there are admission details on the noticeboard at the back of church giving information for both St. Edward’s School and St. Aldhelm’s School.

Toddler Group - The Toddler Group meet every Thursday afternoon between 2pm and 4pm in the parish centre (during school term-times). The group welcomes children from 0-5 years. £1 per family and this includes a drink and biscuit. Why not come along and join the fun.

Parish Magazine - The new edition of our Parish Magazine is now available at the back of church, thanks once again to the “stapling team”.

Panto Rehearsals - The first rehearsal will take place in the hall on Friday 9th October at 8.00pm.

Good Luck - Good Luck to the Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts as they cycle around Poole Park on Saturday 10th October for their sponsored cycle.

Church Flowers - We would be grateful for any contributions, great or small, for Church flowers. This would be much appreciated as Remembrance Sunday is
not far off and our funds need a boost. Many thanks, Dee Anderson and Faye Pay.

Pets Blessing Service - On Sunday 18th October at 4pm we shall welcome you and your pets to a Blessing Service

DID YOU KNOW YOU CAN SUPPORT YOUR CHURCH, EVEN WHEN YOU’RE NOT HERE?
Our expenditure amounts to approximately £1,400 per week.
This includes £911.86 per week which goes to the Diocese for our “Share”
Last weeks donations were as follows:
Planned Giving £207.00 (including standing orders)
Collections £154.40.
Our income tax claim produces the equivalent of an additional £170 approx per week.
Any shortfall is made up from our various fundraising events.

If you pay Income Tax, in each chair can be found a yellow giving envelope. Loose collection can be placed in these envelopes, completing the details requested (this will enable us to reclaim 28p in the £ from the Inland Revenue). If you are a non-tax payer, please put your loose collection straight into the collecting bag when this is passed round during the service.

Through our Planned Giving Scheme, church members commit a regular amount of money in order that we may be able to rely on a predictable income to meet our needs and responsibilities. Whilst we are grateful to those who contribute through the loose collections/Gift Aid envelopes, we need new members to join our Planned Giving Scheme.

For further information please contact our Hon. Treasurer, Mr John Sprackling on (01202) 751553 or by email via Sprackling@branksomepark.freeserve.co.uk who will be pleased to provide you with a box of weekly or monthly envelopes or a standing order form.
