PARISH NEWS

TODAY . . .

PET SERVICE

We shall be giving thanks for animals at our Pet Service later today at 4pm. Bring your pets to church for a blessing.

TODAY

Heidi Moxam will be on hand after the service to lead as many folk as possible into ‘fingerprinting’ a Poppy. The idea is to use thumbprints to make red and black marks, which will then create a wall display of individual poppies that will commemorate the men and women who died in the Great War, WW2 and the many conflicts since 1945. Come and make your mark during coffee time this morning and contribute to our Remembrance display.

TODAY

PANTO Panto rehearsals will take place at 2pm here in church.

MACMILLIAN CANCER CHARITY COFFEE MORNING

Thank you to Heidi Moxam for organising another successful coffee morning which raised £395.86 for Macmillian.

NEXT SATURDAY - P & P SINGERS

The Poole & Parkstone Singers will be performing a concert here in church next Saturday (15th October) at 7.30pm with songs from the shows. Tickets are £5 each and are available from Sam Waldron in advance or you can pay on the door.

BISHOP NICHOLAS HOLTAM

Bishop Nick will be enthroned on Saturday 15th October and will become our next Bishop of Salisbury.

BONFIRE NIGHT

On Friday 4th November from 5.30pm we shall hold our Fireworks and Bonfire Night in the Vicarage Garden. £5 per family. Hot food and drinks will be available. Fireworks from about 6pm.

CLEAN ME MORNING

To get the church and the grounds looking tidy for the winter we shall be sweeping leaves, dusting chairs etc in and around the church on Saturday 5th November between 9.30am—12noon. Please come along and lend a hand.

ADMISSION TO ST. EDWARD’S RC CE VA SCHOOL
Any parent of a child due to transfer at age 12+ in Sept 2012 and who wishes to consider the option of comprehensive education to age 18 within a successful and oversubscribed mixed church school should take an information leaflet about St. Edward’s School from the back of church.

CAN YOU HELP S.T.A.K.S?

Can you spare a couple of hours every other Sunday night between 6pm-8pm? STAKS are looking for a new leader ideally male to join our team to enable us to continue providing a varied programme for youngsters aged 10+. Please see Clair Pay . Thank you.
