Volunteers will be painting and decorating the lounge beginning on Thursday 20th May and Friday 21st May at 9.30am. f you are able to give a hand, please come along to the lounge. Refreshments will be provided for all volunteers. Please let Sam know if you can come. Thanks.

Archdeacon’s Visitation
We shall be hosting one of the Archdeacon’s Visitation services here in church on Tuesday 25th May-7.30pm (St. Aldhelm’s Day). We shall be joined by many churchwarden’s from local churches as they are sworn into office. As in previous years each church puts on refreshments following this service. We wish to do the same, so are asking for volunteers to bake some cakes and for help serving. Please see Sam if you can help.
Thieves in the area
When walking around the church area please keep vigilant; a church in Parkstone has recently been targeted for their lead. If you notice anything suspicious please tell Father Stephen or churchwardens. Thank you.

St. Aldhelm’s Family Camp
We shall be holding another parish family camp on Friday 18th, Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th June at East Stoke near Wareham. (Same site as last year). To reserve your pitch please see Heidi or Steve Moxam. Cost is £12 per night plus £1 per night for electric. This is a quiet field set in the beautiful Dorset countryside.

DID YOU KNOW YOU CAN SUPPORT YOUR CHURCH, EVEN WHEN YOU’RE NOT HERE?

Our expenditure amounts to approximately £1,400 per week. This includes £850.11 per week which goes to the Diocese for our ‘Share’. Last weeks donations were as follows: Planned Giving £220.20 (including standing orders) Collections £247.95. Our income tax claim produces the equivalent of an additional £170 approx. per week. The shortfall is made up from fund raising.

If you pay Income Tax, in each chair can be found a yellow giving envelope. Loose collection can be placed in these envelopes, completing the details requested (this will enable us to reclaim 28p in the £ from the Inland Revenue). If you are a non-tax payer, please put your loose collection straight into the collecting bag when this is passed round during the service. Through our Planned Giving Scheme, church members commit a regular amount of money in order that we may be able to rely on a predictable income to meet our needs and responsibilities. Whilst we are grateful to those who contribute through the loose collections/Gift Aid envelopes, we need new members to join the Planned Giving scheme. For further information please contact our Hon. Treasurer, Mr John Sprackling on (01202) 751553 or by e-mail via sprackling@branksomepark.freeserve.co.uk who will be pleased to provide you with a box of Weekly or Monthly envelopes or a standing order form.
