WELCOME TO OUR WORSHIP TODAY



We welcome children in church at all times. There is a safe children’s area at the side of the church which enables children to play/sit quietly with their parents or carers and join the service. ‘Busy Bags’ for young children are available. During term-time, Sunday School takes place in the Parish Centre. All children are welcome. Toilets and Baby Changing facilities are located in the Parish Centre.

PARISH NEWS


PANTO REHEARSALS TODAY - Panto rehearsals are in the hall at 2pm this afternoon.




NEXT SUNDAY - The Senior Sunday School will put on a 60 second Nativity Play during the 10am service!





CHRISTMAS TREES The list for Christmas Trees to decorate has now closed BUT if you are quick we have two outside trees left! Please see Ann Ballett or Sam Waldron if you can help decorate them.




SHINING BRANCHES CHRISTMAS TREE FESTIVAL VOLUNTEERS - to enable the 9th Christmas Tree Festival to run smoothly we are in need of volunteers to ‘man’ the church. This means welcoming visitors, having a chat, making teas and coffees and directing visitors to the facilities. We have a list of timed slots for the duration of the festival and hope that everyone could put their name down to help. The list is at the back of church. Lets give the community of Branksome a good St. Aldhelm’s Christmas welcome!





DECORATING CHRISTMAS TREES - From Wednesday 7th through to lunchtime on Saturday 10th, the church will be open from 10am until the evening for folks to come and decorate their tree.






9th SHINING BRANCHES CHRISTMAS TREE FESTIVAL BEGINS NEXT SATURDAY, 10th DECEMBER - with a Blessing & Opening Ceremony and the switching on of the lights attended by the Mayor of Poole—6.00pm, Then a refreshment break at 7.00pm and then ...




BIG LITTLE THEATRE SCHOOL - will put on a concert at 7.30pm - songs from the shows with a Christmas theme—£5 pay on the door




SPARKLE APPEAL CAROL SERVICE—Sunday 11th December at 4pm.





ST. ALDHELM’S ORCHESTRA - CONCERT - Monday 12th December at 7.30pm —retiring collection.






ST. ALDHELM’S SCHOOL CAROL SERVICE - Tuesday 13th December at 7pm.





LUMINOS COMMUNITY CHOIR - CONCERT - Wednesday 14th December - 8.00pm—retiring collection towards Wessex Autistic Society & Church Funds.




BUSY BODIES PRE-SCHOOL - NATIVITY PLAY - Thursday 15th December at 11.15am in church, all welcome.





P & P SINGERS - CONCERT - Friday 16th December at 8.00pm, £5 pay on the door.





BRENDONCARE - CHRISTMAS CONCERT - Featuring Darren Bartlett & Salvacosta Volcal Harmony Group & Woodfalls Brass Band - £7 entrance by ticket only, available from (01202) 571485 or the Parish Office.



JUNIOR SUNDAY SCHOOL NATIVITY PLAY - The younger children who attend Sunday School will perform the Nativity on Sunday 18th December at our 10am service.



CAROLS AT MELTON COURT - Carol Singing will take place at Melton Court Flats at 2pm. Please come along and spread a bit of Christmas cheer, see Father Stephen for more details.







PARISH CAROL SERVICE - we will be joined by St. Aldhelm’s Orchestra and our Choir for the Parish Carol Service on Sunday 18th December at 6.00pm. All welcome.




CHILDREN’S SOCIETY CHRISTINGLE SERVICE - On Wednesday 21st December at 4pm we shall hold our Christingle Service—raising much needed funds for the Children’s Society. All welcome.
