We welcome children in church at all times. There is a safe children’s area at the side of the church which enables children to play/sit quietly with their parents or carers and join the service. ‘Busy Bags’ for young children are available. During term-time, Sunday School takes place in the Parish Centre. All children are welcome. Toilets and Baby Changing facilities are located in the Parish Centre.

ALPHA COURSE
- St. Aldhelm’s is hosting an Alpha Course which is to be run by Bishop Graham starting in January. If you wish to take part please could you register with the Alpha Course Administrator at St. Peter’s Parkstone, Church Road, Parkstone, Poole, BH14 ONN by Tuesday 3rd January. (or email st-peters-park@btconnect.com). The first session will start here in the parish centre on Tuesday 10th January.




PARISH OFFICE - The office will re-open on Tuesday 3rd January.








PANTO REHEARSALS
- There is not a rehearsal this afternoon but there will be on Friday at 7pm in the hall and next Sunday at 2pm in the hall.







PARISH PANTO - MOTHER GOOSE - TICKETS
— If you would like to come and watch a performance of Mother Goose, tickets are on sale from either Diane Eaton, Joyce Lavender or Sam in the office. £4 for adults, £1.50 for children or £10 for a family (2+2). Give yourself something to look forward to February—a fun family show, come along and have a giggle!!







PACKING AWAY THE CHRISTMAS TREES—We would like as many helpers as possible to come along to church on Thursday 5th January at 7pm to help tidy the church. There will be an evening Eucharist before hand at 6.30pm, to which you are most welcome.

TODAY - The Junior Sunday School will put on the Nativity Play during the 10am service.


PANTO REHEARSALS TODAY - Panto rehearsals are in the hall at 2pm this afternoon.








CAROL SINGING - You are invited to sing Carols at Melton Court this afternoon, please come to church for 1.45pm ready to sing at 2pm.









PARISH CAROL SERVICE - Our Parish Carol Service will take place here this evening at 6pm and we shall be joined by St. Aldhelm’s Orchestra.







Church will remain open from 10am each day, so bring your friends and family to come and see the trees and have a munch on a mince pie! The Christmas Tree Festival will close at the end of the Crib Service on 24th Dec (around 5pm).

9th SHINING BRANCHES CHRISTMAS TREE FESTIVAL
Continues until 24th December. . . .







JUNIOR SUNDAY SCHOOL NATIVITY PLAY - The younger children who attend Sunday School will perform the Nativity on Sunday 18th December at our 10am service.








CAROLS AT MELTON COURT - Carol Singing will take place at Melton Court Flats at 2pm. Please come along and spread a bit of Christmas cheer, see Father Stephen for more details.






PARISH CAROL SERVICE - we will be joined by St. Aldhelm’s Orchestra and our Choir for the Parish Carol Service on Sunday 18th December at 6.00pm. All welcome.





CHILDREN’S SOCIETY CHRISTINGLE SERVICE - On Wednesday 21st December at 4pm we shall hold our Christingle Service—raising much needed funds for the Children’s Society. All welcome. Helpers would be appreciated—see Father Stephen, please.

Roy Green passed away recently, aged 89. Roy with his wife Margaret, had a large part to play in the life of the Parish. Roy took a major role in leading the Friends of St. Aldhelm’s and he served as Chair of Governors at St. Aldhelm’s Combined School. Please pray for Katie and Angie and all of Roy’s family and friends.
