PARISH NEWS


PALM SUNDAY

Today is Palm Sunday. We shall hold a Palm Sunday procession which leaves St. Aldhelm’s school at 9.30am and walks to church. John Tubbs will bless the Palm Sunday crosses in church at 9.50am. The service will begin at 10.00am when the procession arrives.



PARISH REPORT

The Parish Report is now available at the back of church. Thanks to Jan and John Kilminster for producing this.



ANNUAL GENERAL PAROCHIAL CHURCH MEETING

This meeting will take place today in church following the service.


LENT

During Lent we are following some of Simone Weil’s reflections on the Lord’s Prayer, meeting here and at St. Joseph’s. This evenings meeting will be at St. Joseph’s beginning at 6.30pm and ending at around 7.45pm.



MOTHERS’ UNION MEETING

The Mothers’ Union will meet at 2.30pm on Wednesday (20th) and attend the Stations at 3pm and then have tea and cakes in the lounge.


PARISH EASTER CARD

Please help to spread the Easter Good News by delivering Easter Cards to your neighbours and local roads, please see the cards at the back of church. Thank you for your help. Full details of when our Easter Services take place can be found in the cards.



STATIONS OF THE CROSS

The Stations will take place in church on Palm Sunday at 6pm, Mon 18th at 3pm, Tues 19th at 7pm, Wed 20th at 3pm.


MAUNDY THURSDAY

At 11.00am at Salisbury Cathedral there is a service to Bless the Holy Oils, anyone is welcome to attend. At 8.00pm there will be Mass of the Last Supper and vigil here in church.


GOOD FRIDAY

Sequence of reflections, hymns and prayers-12-3pm

Good Friday Liturgy—2-3pm. Children’s activities in the centre –12-3pm



HOLY SATURDAY

Easter Vigil and lighting of the new Paschal Candle-11.30pm


EASTER SUNDAY
