REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY
Our Remembrance Service will take place at 10am this Sunday, Gary Waldron will be preaching.

PARISH MAGAZINE The next issue of our parish magazine will be a combined issue covering both December and January. If you have anything to include please see Sam Waldron today.
CHRISTMAS FAYRE Our Church Christmas Fayre will take place next Saturday, 20th November in the parish centre from 10.30am—12.30pm. We shall have lots of stalls and would love to have donations for the raffle, books, children’s books and toys, bottles, good quality bric-a-brac and cakes (on the day). Donations can be brought along to the Parish Office. Please see Sam if you can help man a stall or help set up, tidy away etc.

CONFIRMATION Have you considered being Confirmed? Our next service will be held here at St. Aldhelm’s in January, please see Rev Sarah a.s.a.p. as preparation classes are just getting started.

BAPTISM SERVICE Next Sunday, 21st November at 10am we shall hold a Baptism Service. Please come along a welcome the candidates and their families as they begin their Christian journey.
MOTHERS UNION MEETING On Wednesday 17th November at 2.30pm the Mothers’ Union will be meeting in the lounge for a “Christmas Hands On” session.
ADVENT SUNDAY—COMPLINE SERVICE At 6.00pm on Advent Sunday, 28th November there will be a service of Compline. All welcome.


SCOUT & GUIDES CHRISTMAS BAZAAR The Scouts and Guides will be holding their Christmas Bazaar in the parish centre on Saturday 27th November between 12-2pm. Please go along and give them your support.

FRIDAY NIGHT PANTO REHEARSALS Just to remind you that the Friday night rehearsals will begin at 7.30pm in the hall and not 8.00pm.

NEWS FROM THE REVD JANET DELANEY: Janet who is just finishing her curacy at Wootton Bassett, is to be licensed as Rector of the eight churches in the part of West Dorset embracing the villages of Askerswell, Loders, Symondsbury and Powerstock. We wish Jan & David every blessing as they move from Wiltshire to Dorset in 2011.

BONFIRE NIGHT Thank you to everyone who helped and came along to our Bonfire Night evening. We raised £736.33. So well done!

CHRISTMAS TREE FESTIVAL This year we are planning our Christmas Tree Festival along the theme of “AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 TREES!”. So far as we write this sheet we have 48 trees taken. We need to have 80 trees decorated—would you like to have a go? Please see Sam Waldron for more information.

CHRISTMAS SERVICE SHEETS Sam would appreciate some help with the folding of the new Christmas Service sheets, if you are able to offer some of your time one morning at the beginning of December, please speak to Sam.
