Welcome to the church of Branksome, St. Aldhelm
World’s Biggest Coffee Morning
On Friday 24th Sept, in church between 10am—2pm we shall be taking part in the MacMillan “World’s Biggest Coffee Morning”. If you are able to come along, please do. Can you make a cake? Recipe ideas at the back of church. Help on the day also, please or something for the raffle. It’s a good cause, £25 could pay for a Macmillan nurse for an hour, helping people living with cancer and their families receive essential medical and emotional support. For more info please speak to Heidi Moxam—746411.
Our expenditure amounts to approximately £1,400 per week
This includes £850.11 per week which goes to the Diocese for our “share”.
Last weeks donations were as follows:
Planned Giving £678.70 (including standing orders) - Collections £183.70
Our income tax claim produces the equivalent of an additional £170 per week.
The shortfall is made up from fundraising—such as fetes and concerts etc
If you pay income tax—in each chair can be found a yellow giving envelope. Loose collection can be placed in these envelopes, completing the details requested (this will enable us to reclaim 28p in every £1 from the inland revenue). If you are a non-tax payer, please put your loose collection straight into the collection bags when they are passed around during the service.
Through our Planned Giving Scheme, you can commit a regular amount in order that we may be able to rely on a predictable income to meet our needs and responsibilities. We need new members to consider joining the Planned Giving Scheme—contact John Sprackling Our Hon. Treasurer—(01202) 751553 or email sprackling@branksomepark.freeserve.co.uk.

Pantomime
Would all, adults and children, who would like to be in our next panto come to church on Sunday October 3rd and 10th, at 2pm. We are to have a Sing Along of all the songs. After which the dates for the chorus rehearsals, both adults and children, will be on Sundays in the hall, starting Nov 7th at 2pm.
The extra principal’s rehearsals will be on Fridays, starting Oct 8th. In Oct these will be in church thereafter in the Hall. Try to make these dates especially the Sing Along as there is a lot of chorus work, especially this time for the children.
