PARISH NEWS

Welcome & Farewell
Firstly, welcome to the families and friends of Tadiwa, Anasha, Daniel and Sofia who are being brought for Baptism; and we say farewell today to Elsie Roberts whose ashes are being placed in our Garden of Remembrance; anyone who knew Elsie is welcome to join in the brief ceremony after this service. Thank you to the Roberts family for their generosity in having the Garden enhanced with a stone wall in memory of Elsie and Doug.

Can you help?

Tomorrow, (Monday 19th July) at 10.45am you are invited to collective worship to meet a special guest, Right Reverend Bishop Moses Deng Bol, Bishop of Wau Diocese, (part of the Episcopal Church in the Sudan).
Moses became a Christian following a serious illness where he met a young evangelist who taught him to read and write. He wants to encourage a Church that fights for justice and human rights, especially the rights of the most vunerable groups in society including orphans and widows.

DID YOU KNOW, YOU CAN SUPPORT YOUR CHURCH, EVEN WHEN YOU’RE NOT HERE?

Our expenditure amounts to approximately £1,400 per week.
This includes £850.11 per week which goes to the Diocese for our “Share”.
Last weeks donations were as follows: Planned Giving £578.20 (including Standing Orders), Collections £125.60. Our income tax claim produces the equivalent of an additional £170 approx per week. The shortfall is made up from fundraising—such as fetes, concerts etc. If you pay Income Tax-in each chair can be found a yellow giving envelope. Loose collection can be placed in these envelopes, completing the details requested (this will enable us to reclaim 28p in every £ from the Inland Revenue). If you are a non-tax payer, please put your loose collection straight into the collection bags when they are passed around during the service. Through our Planned Giving Scheme, you can commit a regular amount in order that we may be able to rely on a predictable income to meet our needs and responsibilities. Whilst we are thankful to those who use the envelopes, we need new members to consider joining the Planned Giving Scheme. Please contact our Hon. Treasurer - Mr John Sprackling (01202) 751553 or via Email: sprackling@branksomepark.freeserve.co.uk
Thank You.
