WELCOME TO OUR WORSHIP TODAY
We welcome children in church at all times. There is a safe children’s area at the side of the church which enables children to play/sit quietly with their parents or carers and join the service. ‘Busy Bags’ for young children are available. During term-time, Sunday School takes place in the Parish Centre. All children are welcome. Toilets and Baby Changing facilities are located in the Parish Centre.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE!

WELCOME as we join together for the service this morning, afterwards please stay for tea and coffee which is served at the back of church.

TODAY—EPIPHANY—PACKING AWAY OF THE TREES

Please stay and help to pack away the Christmas trees and tidy the church following the 10am service.

LIVING STONES APPEAL was launched on the 2nd December to celebrate the 120 years since the foundation stone was laid at our church. We are hoping to raise £240,000 for various repairs and improvements to the church and parish centre.

As part of the fundraising we shall be holding an evening called:

‘RAISE THE ROOF AND HAVE SOME FUN’;

something to look forward to after all the Christmas festivities have finished. There will be entertainment by a singer and a ploughman’s supper.

It begins 7 for 7.30pm on Saturday 19th January, in the hall and we are suggesting £10 donations. Shake away those January blues!

PARISH PANTO: HUMPTY DUMPTY

Tickets are on sale at the back of church from Di Eaton or available from the church office/school office, Busy Bodies or the leaders of the uniformed units.

VOLUNTEER VACANCY—VOLUNTEER MANAGER—SCOUTS

Branksome, St. Aldhelm’s Scouts are looking for someone with energy and enthusiasm to manage and lead a team of adult volunteers to ensure young people have access to the best possible Scouting. CAR PARKING IN LIDL’S CAR PARK : people have been parking in Lidl’s car park and have been clamped. Please be aware, and take extra time to park or walk to church over the busy Christmas time. Thank you.

CHRISTINGLE SERVICE The Children’s Society Christingle Service will take place this afternoon at 4pm.

CHRISTMAS TREE FESTIVAL Our 10th ‘Shining Branches’ Christmas Tree Festival will continue until Monday 24th December and will close following the Crib Service which begins at 4.30pm.

ST. ALDHELM’S ORCHESTRA CONCERT will take place tomorrow—Monday 17th Dec here in church from 7.30pm with a retiring collection.

ST. ALDHELM’S SCHOOL CAROL SERVICE will take place on Tuesday 18th at 7pm. (there will not be a service of Holy Communion at 12 noon as they will be rehearsing).

MOTHERS’ UNION CHRISTMAS PARTY will take place on Wednesday 19th in the lounge at 2.30pm.

LUMINOS CHOIR CONCERT will take place in church on Wednesday 19th at 8.00pm—retiring collection.

P & P SINGERS CONCERT will take place in church on Saturday 22nd at 7.30pm. £5 pay on the door.

NEXT SUNDAY—23RD DECEMBER during the 10am Parish Eucharist we will have the Sunday School Nativity Play. If your child would like to take part please speak to Heidi Moxam, a rehearsal will take place in church on Saturday 22nd from 10am—12noon.

CAROL SINGING will take place at Melton Court at 2pm, please speak to Father Stephen if you are able to come along.

PARISH CAROL SERVICE with St. Aldhelm’s Orchestra will take place on Sunday 23rd Dec at 6pm. All welcome.
