There is a safe children’s area at the side of the church which enables children to play/sit quietly with their parents or carers and join the service. ‘Busy Bags’ for young children are available. During term-time, Sunday School takes place in the Parish Centre. All children are welcome. Toilets and Baby Changing facilities are located in the Parish Centre.

THANK YOU to Heidi Moxam, John & Jan Kilminster, Faye & Clair Pay, Sam Waldron, Kate Parker-Smith for cooking pancakes and organising races at the Pancake Party. A good turn out with over 120+ people all eating pancakes!




CHURCH ELECTORAL ROLL If you are a regular member of the congregation and are over 16, please sign up for the Electoral Roll before its closing date of Sunday 11th March. (This is an on-going list). CHURCH ANNUAL REPORT Please could anyone who has been asked to produce a report for the APCM Annual Report, please have their contribution ready and given to Jan Kilminster by 4th March, thank you.




MEMORIAL SERVICE On Wednesday 21st March at 2.00pm there will be a Memorial/Thanksgiving Service for Roy Green held here in church with refreshments to follow in the Scout Den (to help with catering numbers please let Father Stephen know if you are attending).


CLOTHING HELP Have you any of the following which you could donate towards the charity Routes to Roots, (clean): jeans, jogging bottoms, t-shirts, fleeces, socks, jumpers, sweatshirts (male and female). With the cold weather at present more and more homeless people are turning to Routes to Roots for help. Donations can be left at the back of church, in bags please. Thank you in advance for your help.



FLOWER FUND Please spare any change to go into the collection pot at the back of church to support the Flower Fund. Money will be used to continue to provide flowers to decorate church. Thank you to Dee and Faye for all their wonderful arrangements.




SPRING FAYRE On Saturday 17th March between 10.30am—12.30pm we shall hold our Spring Fayre in the Parish Centre. To get ready we are looking for donations for books, toys, raffle prizes, plants, toys, bric-a-brac. Please bring to the Parish Office. Thank you.




CHANGE OF TIME - LENT HOMEGROUP MEETINGS
During Lent there will be weekly housegroup meetings at the home of Linda Lawton (please phone parish office for address) and the time of the meetings will now be 11.00am not 2pm as previous advertised. See the March Parish Magazine for details or yellow Lent & Easter sheets.

MAGAZINE DEADLINE The deadline for any contributions for the March magazine is today, Sunday 19th February, please see Sam.




PARISH OFFICE The Parish Office is now closed for the half-term break and re-open on Monday 20th February.



SHROVE TUESDAY Shrove Tuesday is the 21st February, why not come along to our Pancake Party which will be held in St. Aldhelm’s School between 5.30pm—7.00pm. All welcome. Bring a small frying pan to join the races.




ASH WEDNESDAY Wednesday 22nd February—Services with ’Ashing’ will take place at 10.30am and 7pm. Following the 10.30am service the Mothers’ Union will hold a soup lunch in the lounge. All welcome.

(This is an ongoing roll, so you might already be on it from last year.) Being part of St. Aldhelm’s congregation, attending church regularly and joining the Electoral Roll—before its cut off of Sunday 11th March 2012, enables you to attend the Church Annual Parochial Church Meeting and if spaces are available join the P.C.C. ROLL UP, ROLL UP, GET YOUR FINAL WEEKEND PANTO TICKETS HERE!—MOTHER GOOSE Diane Eaton will be at the back of church for anyone wishing to purchase their panto tickets following the service. Final performances will take place on Friday 10th Feb at 7pm and Saturday 11th Feb at 2pm and 7pm. Tickets are £4 for adults, £1.50 for children or a family ticket (2+2) for £10. All performances will take place in the parish centre. Tickets also available in the week from the Parish Office.




P.C.C. MEETING On Thursday 9th February there will be a P.C.C. Meeting at 7.30pm, in church.
